[Gofthick's Tutorial Set]

Great Tutorial

Really good for beginners. I'm having trouble making a dress-up game though :S. I put the clothing on seperate layers and everything,copy pasted the code in advanced mode, and followed your steps exactly, but when I exported the movie, when you click on the clothing it doesn't move. So I figured, oh I have an idea! I'll convert the movie clip to a button and put those actions (your code) to it and maybe it will work. Now the problem is, that when I click and drag one piece of clothing, it clicks and drags ALL OF THE pieces of clothing, the "mannequin" and the background!! Everything!! Do you know how to fix this? That was really awesome!!

Good old Microsoft Paint, I used to make movies using it ones... yup... Good Times. Anyway, I really liked this game, you're style was cool, the interaction was fun, and you're graphics and sounds and music were really interesting. The only thing that stopped me from giving you a ten was the stupid alien. When you die, you should put a button that lets you restart from the alien fight instead of having to do everything again! Great work still!

That was really cool..

I don't usually play games of any sort on newgrounds, but I liked this one. I think it has a lot of potential, that is the only reason I am reviewing. I thought that level was really amusing, but it lacked sound, maybe some crazy techno would be good for the music, to make it more intense. You could get some cool sound effects too. Perhaps, for the options menu, you could make a feature to choose the colour of your ship, or choose a different ship. In other levels, you could make ships attack you, but not too hard, also the controls could be a little more responsive I think. Make varied levels if possible, where you can fly in different directions, eg. One level you are flying straight, where obstacles fly at you, one level is a top-down view like you had for this level, in one level you are flying down from the top of the screen, etc. that would make the levels seem more varied. Also more detailed backgrounds, not the stars, that was great, but like the grey walls could have been more detailed, you could download textures if you want to do that easily. I guess that's all I've got for you, good luck with the full thing!

haha that was excellent!

It felt like super smash bros melee to me, excellent programming! I loved jumping in the air and slashing my sword into multiple ennemies, it was cool because teh heads would sometimes be decapitated or split in half, excellent touch! My only suggestion is to work on the graphics and take them up a notch, other than that, excellent!! Also would be cool if you could choose different characters, anyway, excellent work good luck on your future stuff!!

That was really great, an excellent tutorial, what I really need basically is a hands tutorial, think you could make one of those? And maybe a proportionality one? Those are my two biggest flaws in animation, oh yeah and walk cycles! But this was helpful, hope you could make those other ones, I'd be so grateful!

That was the best flash shooter I have ever played! Wow..I mean..wow! I do flash movies, and the little game coding I even ATTEMPTED was so hard and long for me to do, I decided to stick to movies :P So I have a good feel of how long that would take to do..it must have been ages! That was soo excellent, the graphics were great, it ran pretty smoothly, the 3D was REAALY excellent, I wish I could do stuff more than cones, donuts and spheres in swift :P! Everything was really great, you are the best flash game coder...wow wow wow! I really enjoyed that, beat the game *yay for me haha* but really don't let anyone else get to you, they are dumbasses, that was real art. And your walk cycles, SUPERB! It took me like 2 hours to animate a man walking RELATIVELY smoothly, but you were like amazing at it, I have much respect for you, can't wait for the sequel :D keept it up!

I dunno if something was wrong with my computer or what, but after the ghost talked and said he'd turn the power on if I played a game and won, I pressed slowly through the arrows, and then after there were no more speech bubbles, the ghost just floated there and did nothing, I waited 5 minutes but nothing happened...?
